John Jordan played basketball for the Islanders from 2011-15. In the school record book, he ranks first all-time in assists (652), first in minutes played (4,340) and free throws made (559). Jordan finished his career as the only active player in Division I with more than 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists and is one of two players in Southland Conference history to ever accomplish that feat.

He went on to a successful professional career, first in the NBA G League where he helped Raptors 905 win a championship in 2017 under Head Coach Jerry Stackhouse. Jordan then transitioned to overseas professional basketball and has had stints in Finland, Belgium, Germany and Serbia. He also played for Ploiesti CSM in the Romanian National League where he is averaging 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists per game.
