CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis heads to Austin Sunday evening to challenge the 11th-ranked Texas Longhorns.

First serve between the Islanders and Longhorns is set for 5 p.m. at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center. For the Islanders, it marks match three in a six-game road trip before the Blue and Green host the H-E-B Tournament of Champions on March 3-4.

The Islanders are off to a 4-0 start in 2017 and enter Sunday off back-to-back road wins at UTRGV and UTSA. Senior
Paul Cook has led the Islanders to the strong start with his 4-0 record in singles play. Freshman
William Mottet also sits at 4-0 in his first four matches as an Islander.

The 11th-ranked Longhorns sit at 7-1 on the season with the lone loss coming to Tulsa. For the Longhorns, it will be their second match of the day as they also play Purdue at noon Sunday. Texas is home to three of the top 60 singles players in collegiate tennis and the 27th-ranked doubles pairing in the country.

The Islander men return to the courts Thursday with an 11 a.m. matchup at UT Arlington. The women return to action Wednesday at SMU after their match with UTEP, originally scheduled for Monday was postponed due to rain.
