CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team unveiled its full schedule for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday, marking the start of head coach
Toyelle Wilson's second year at the helm of the program.

The Islanders start the year with a slate of six nonconference games in a row, starting with their season opener on November 4 against Our Lady of the Lake at the Dugan Wellness Center. They then head out on the road for three games against strong in-state competition, starting against Baylor on November 8 before making the trek to take on Texas State on November 13 and Houston on November 17. After this, they come back to the Dugan Wellness Center for matchups against new D1 opponent West Florida on November 21 and St. Mary's (TX) on November 24.
Following this stretch, A&M-Corpus Christi begins Southland Conference play back on the road, traveling eastward to take on LSU New Orleans on December 3 and Nicholls on December 5. The team's first home conference matchups will take place on December 15 and 17 against Lamar and reigning conference champion Stephen F. Austin, which will then be followed by a trip out to California for its last nonconference games against Fresno State on December 20 and Pacific on December 22. After the holiday break, it then returns home to close out 2026 against HCU on New Year's Eve for its first game of the season at the Hilliard Center.
The rest of the season for the Islanders in 2027 consists solely of conference games, facing every other team in the Southland twice to complete the 22-game round robin. Some highlights for the rest of the year include matchups against UTRGV on the road on January 2 and at home on January 28 for the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union, Homecoming back at the Dugan Wellness Center against Southeastern Louisiana on February 18 and Senior Day at the Hilliard Center against McNeese on February 20.
The regular season then leads into the Southland Conference Basketball Championships, which will be held for the women from March 8-11 at the Townsley Law Arena in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The Islanders will be trying to get back into the dance and return to the top of the conference for the first time since they punched their first-ever ticket to March Madness back in 2023-24.
