AUSTIN, Texas – The 2025 Academic All-American women's volleyball teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), was released Tuesday and redshirt sophomore
Brooklyn Jaeger of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball team was tabbed to the Third Team.
Jaeger, the SLC Libero of the Year, adds the accolade to her already full list of academic awards after earning CSC Academic All-Region and Southland Conference All-Academic honors this season. She joins the 21-member team within Division I to earn the national recognition.
She qualified for the honor with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA in her kinesiology program. The Division I team boasted a 3.87 cumulative GPA and Jaeger is one of five team members maintaining a 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate studies.
"Brooklyn is an oustanding representation of what it means to be a true student-athlete," said head coach
Steve Greene. "Her academic and athletic prowess are directly related to her consistent efforts to improve and be the best she can be. I am so proud of her accomplishments and how she highlights our Islanders Volleyball program and I am honored to be her coach."
Jaeger is the second student-athlete in program history to earn a spot on an Academic All-American team after Madison Green made the Second Team in 2018 and the First Team in 2019 (then CoSIDA).
