CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi volleyball program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 29 regular-season matches, a home tournament and the opportunity to host the Southland Conference Tournament at the Dugan Wellness Center.
The Islanders will play 10 regular season matches in Corpus Christi, highlighted by the annual Islanders Classic, presented by Schlotzsky's, on Sept. 4-5 and seven home conference contests. A&M-Corpus Christi will also welcome the conference's top teams to the Dugan Wellness Center for the 2026 Southland Conference Tournament from Nov. 20-22, giving the Islanders a chance to compete for a league championship on their home court.
Before then, the Islanders open preseason play with an exhibition at UTSA on Aug. 15 before officially beginning the season at Kansas State on Aug. 28 in Manhattan, Kansas. They will also face Campbell on Aug. 29 as part of opening weekend.
A&M-Corpus Christi returns home for the Islanders Classic, presented by Schlotzsky's, welcoming UTEP on Sept. 4 and Texas State on Sept. 5. UTRGV will also compete in the tournament to make it a four-team field for the three-day event.
The Islanders then travel for the Tarleton State Invitational for matches against Denver and Sam Houston before facing the hosting Texans.
A demanding nonconference schedule continues in Las Vegas, where A&M-Corpus Christi will take on Hawaii, UCLA and Iowa State from Sept. 18-20 in the Lucky Aces Volleyball Invitational at The Orleans Arena. The Islanders conclude nonconference play at Southern on Sept. 22 before opening league action at Nicholls on Sept. 23.
The Islanders' conference home opener is scheduled for Sept. 26 against McNeese. Other Southland home matches include HCU (Oct. 1), UIW (Oct. 3), Lamar (Oct. 15), Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 17), UTRGV (Oct. 29), Northwestern State (Nov. 5) and East Texas A&M (Nov. 7).
The Southland Conference Tournament returns to the Dugan Wellness Center from Nov. 20-22, with the conference's top teams competing for the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
