Men's tennis falls to ACU

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's tennis team fell to Abilene Christian, 5-2, at the Eager Tennis Center in Abilene, Texas, on Saturday.
- The Islanders are now 13-8 overall and 0-1 in Southland play. The Widcats improve to 18-4 overall and 4-0 in league action.
- William Mottet and Thomas Rodrigues Lopes were tied 6-6 at No. 2 doubles against the Wildcats when the doubles point was decided.
- Francois Kellerman battled to win a three-set match at No. 3 singles against Nikolas Moceanu.
- Carlos Pedrosa Cuevas picked up a straight-set win over ACU's Dimitris Azoides at No. 4 singles.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi battled tough in singles, taking two of the first four matches to pull within one, 3-2.

"I give a lot of credit to Abilene Christian today. They competed with great tenacity on their home courts, every single guy. They had a great crowd that made a big difference. Our guys competed extremely hard today with a lot of heart. They never stopped fighting. What hurt us was physical legs and balance late in the match. We just have to get tougher about that and constantly emphasize playing physical. The team with the more physical legs and balance wins 80% of the time and Abilene Christian was that team today". History of Success
- As a program, the Islanders have reached 10 NCAA Tournaments in program history and captured 22 Southland titles in the last 12 years. The men are seeking the program's eighth NCAA Tournament appearance.
