SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi track & field program wrapped up the Roadrunner Invitational on Saturday afternoon, breaking another two school records and setting numerous personal bests at the Park West Athletics Complex in San Antonio, Texas. After senior
Sashane Hanson claimed a first-place finish and school record in the women's Heptathlon on Friday, freshman
Daniel Armstrong (110m Hurdles) and
R'Darious Edwards (Triple Jump) notched similar performances in their respective events, helping the Islanders to a strong finish in just their second meet of the season.
Other notable performers included: freshman
Dubem Nwachukwu's third- and fourth-place sprints in the 200m (21.39s) and 400m Dash (48.14s), respectively; sophomore
Isaac Vargas' first-place run in the 3,000m (8:50.47); senior
Marek Spriestersbach's first-place grind in the 2,000m Steeplechase (6:06.38); junior
Sierra Pruitt's third-place dash in the 200m (23.32s); and junior
Kendall Rodriguez's second-place finish in the 400m Hurdles (1:02.18).
