Placed eighth in the shot put (52-4.75) and 12th in the discus (144-7) at the Southland Championships ... season-best throw of 149-10 in the discus at the South Texas Showdown, placing second ... won the shot put at 52-10.75 and finished sixth in the hammer throw (143-2) ... placed fifth in the shot put at the Roadrunner Invitational (53-3.75) ... was ninth in the discus at the LSU Alumni Gold (143-4).

SENIOR (INDOOR 2019)
Finished fifth in the shot put at Southland Championships (54-8.75) ... finished third in the shot put at the Texas Tech Shootout (53-0.75) ... was fourth at the Houston Invitational in the shot put (52-6.75).

JUNIOR (OUTDOOR 2017)
Posted six top-five finishes on the year, making an appearance in the top-three of three events... had a big weekend at the Valley Classic (3/3) with a third place finish in the hammer (39.29m), fourth place finish in the discus (42.02m) and third place finish in the shot put 15.65m)... took first in the Islander Open Collegiate Meet shot put (15.81m) and fourth in the discus (44.36m)... set PRs in the shot put (16.72m) and the discus (45.59m) at the Cougar Spring Break Invitational (3/16).

JUNIOR (INDOOR 2016-17)
Released a 16.28m shot put in the Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship (2/22) for a new indoor PR and seventh place finish in the meet... set a new personal best at the 2017 Houston Invitational, with a weight throw of 13.26m.

SOPHOMORE (OUTDOOR 2016)
Consistently ranked as the Islanders' top performing thrower with four top-five finishes... launched a new career-best 42.24m in the Islander Collegiate Open hammer throw (3/12)... took third in the UTSA Roadrunner Invitational shot put (4/9) with a toss of 15.48m... logged two top-10 finishes at the J Fred Duckett-Rice Twilight while breaking the 44-meter mark in the discus for the second time in the season.

SOPHOMORE (INDOOR 2015-16)
Claimed 10th at the Texas A&M 13 Team Invitational shot put (1/15) with a distance of 14.15m... tossed a season-best shot put of 15.60m at the Southland Conference Championship to take ninth in the event.

FRESHMAN (OUTDOOR 2015)
Finished in the top-five of three different events at the 2015 Islander Open Spring Break Meet (3/13), while taking first in the shot put (15.00m)... tossed a season best 15.19m in the shot put at the Michael Johnson Classic (4/18)... completed a 44.49m throw in the UTSA Invitational discus (3/21).
 
FRESHMAN (INDOOR 2014-15)
Finished 10th in the Texas A&M 13 Team Invitational shot put with a distance of 13.61m (1/16)... top performing Islander thrower over four different meets.

PRIOR TO TEXAS A&M-CORPUS CHRISTI (SMITHSON VALLEY HS)
Threw for Craig Wersterfer at Smithson Valley High School... earned two letters for the Rangers... received Jim Worthy Courage Award from Smithson Valley HS... qualified for regionals two times for the shot put and once for the discuss... played two years of football... named Academic All-District.

Full name is Benjamin Ethan Clark... son of Jeremy and Wynema Clark... was born Aug. 22, 1995 in Fayetteville, Ark... inspired by former Islander throwers Hickel Woolery and Cody knight to come to the Island... has one sister (Hannah)... majoring in finance... dream job is to work as a CFO for a pro sports franchise.
