CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's tennis team will head to Houston, Texas for a pair of non-conference matches this weekend. The Islanders will play at Rice University on Friday, Feb. 8 at noon before taking on Elon University in a neutral site match on Saturday, Feb. 9 at noon. The Islanders are coming off a three-match homestand that included two victories over Prairie View A&M. On Monday, A&M-Corpus Christi took down UTRGV in the
South Texas Showdown, presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union, for the program's seventh win of the season.
As a program, the Islanders have reached 10 NCAA Tournaments in program history and captured 22 Southland titles in the last 12 years. The men are seeking the program's eighth NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Islander men's road trip will continue next weekend as the team heads to Lafayette, La., for three matches. The Islanders will face Northern Arizona and the University of Louisiana on Friday, Feb. 15, before taking on Eastern Washington University on Saturday.
