From the Coach
"We cannot begin to express our gratitude enough to H-E-B for being Title sponsor for 53 straight years. This tournament was founded by H-E-B founder, Howard Butt, himself in 1967. It is one of the grand events for the Corpus Christi community. The generosity of H-E-B makes this great event possible. We fought hard all weekend. I think the guys are learning and committing to be rocks all the time. We constantly talk about the three types of competitors-rocks, jellybeans, and marshmallows. To be a great team, everyone must commit to be a rock. We are moving positively in that direction. I thought our guys responded with great character to bounce back the way they did." Islanders Director of Tennis Steve Moore

History of Success
- As a program, the Islanders have reached 10 NCAA Tournaments in program history and captured 22 Southland titles in the last 12 years. The men are seeking the program's eighth NCAA Tournament appearance.

Up Next
- The Islanders will host UTSA on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center. The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women will play the Roadrunners earlier in the day at noon.
