Volleyball earns Tuesday sweep over UIW

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team swept the University of the Incarnate Word, 3-0, at the Dugan Wellness Center on Tuesday evening.
- The Islanders to moved to 10-9 overall and an even 3-3 in Southland Conference play with the win. The Cardinals fall to 4-15 overall and 0-5 in league action.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi hit .368 for the match, the second-highest performance of the season and the highest three-set match percentage of the year.

Key Islander Statistics
- The Islanders' best set came in the third, hitting .400 with 15 kills and just three attacking errors.
- Carissa Barnes had four service aces on Tuesday, giving her a team-best 41 on the season. She also added 13 digs and two assists.
- Madison Green hit .500 with eight kills and no attacking errors. She had 29 assists and seven digs on the evening.
- Rachel Young finished with nine kills, one block one dig and one assist. She hit .438 for the match.
- Chloe Simon had an error-free performance with seven kills, hitting .438. She added three assists, two blocks and a dig.
- Madison Howard had seven kills on 10 swings with no errors, hitting .700. Defensively, she added a block.
- Sam Dumity had three kills, two blocks, a dig and an assist.
- Kaylee Payne added eight digs with a pair of service aces and two assists.
- Six of the team's 10 victories of the season have come via 3-0 sweeps.
- A&M-Corpus Christi is now 12-1 all time against UIW, with 11 straight victories dating back to 2013.
