CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis teams will open the 2019 season this weekend. Both programs will start the season against Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with the women taking the court on Friday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Islander men face off with Trinity in a doubleheader with the first match scheduled for 11 a.m. and the second at 3 p.m.

The Islander men will remain on the road to face Prairie View A&M in road action on Monday, Jan. 28. The men will play the Panthers twice with match times at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Prairie View, Texas.
The Islander women boast the nation's No. 12 ranked recruiting classes among mid-major programs by
TennisRecruiting.net. The A&M-Corpus Christi men return every singles starter from last year's team that advanced to the Southland Conference Tournament finals.
As a program, the Islanders have reached 10 NCAA Tournaments in program history and captured 22 Southland titles in the last 12 years.
