CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis returns to the road, traveling to Beaumont for the 2018 Southland Conference Tournament. The men's tournament will be held Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29. The men kick things off tomorrow morning in a 10 a.m. match against Abilene Christian.
A little over a week ago, the Islanders hosted ACU in their second-to-last conference match before heading into the tournament. The men excelled at home, securing a massive 6-1 victory over the Wildcats.
The Islanders closed out the regular season with a 4-1 record in conference play, securing the second seed for the tournament. With only four teams in, the men head straight into the tournament semifinals, with their eyes set on bringing the SLC Championship back to the Island. In order to do so, the men look to come out of the gates running tomorrow, and secure their second victory on the year over the Wildcats!
