CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis returned to the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center this afternoon, hosting New Orleans in the second match of today's doubleheader. The Islanders came out of the gates running, earning the doubles point to start the match. Carrying that momentum into singles play, the men battled throughout the rest of the match to secure a 6-1 victory over the Privateers.
"New Orleans is tough," said Coach Steve Moore. "We had to battle today. We had to make the choice to not just work, but really, really, really work. When the guys made the total commitment to really move their feet and suffer, their level rose tremendously. I'm very proud of their character, as well as their commitment to make the right choices today. This is a group with big hearts that plays hard for each other, and it showed today."
