CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis returned to the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center for today's conference match against Lamar University. After coming out of the gates running to secure the doubles point, the Islanders battled throughout the rest of the match to secure 4-3 a victory over the Cardinals. With today's win, the Islanders improve to 30-1 in Southland Conference play since January of 2016.
"Lamar is a really tough team," said Coach Steve Moore. "I give them a lot of credit for the way they fought. This match was a dog fight from start to finish. These conference matches bring out the best in everyone. I'm incredibly proud of our girls for their grit and their toughness. We battled the whole day, and showed a lot of character."
