CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men have won seven in a row, and look to keep that streak alive tomorrow. But, they face a tough test against a UTRGV team that defeated Rice on the road earlier this season.
"The Navy Army South Texas Showdown series is a fantastic rivalry," said Coach Steve Moore, "with top-notch intensity between the two schools. We look forward for the chance to compete tomorrow, and try to max out all the things we can control. Go Islanders!"
Last year, the Islanders swept the rivalry series 2-0. The men are currently 7-1, and hope to enter the top 75 national rankings for the 12th time in the last 13 years.
Tomorrow's match is set to start at 2 PM at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center. Be sure to arrive early to support your Islanders, as the first 25 fans will receive their own South Texas Showdown t-shirt!
