CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tennis looks forward to two key matchups over the next couple days. After a week of rain, the Islanders look ahead to two tremendous days of tennis.
"I felt like the team worked incredibly hard," said Coach Steve Moore, "and improved in key facets during these rainy days. We are incredibly grateful to the Corpus Christi Athletic Club for helping us with indoor courts that allowed our team to practice and improve. We had a great week of practice due to their generosity."
THURSDAY:
Tomorrow, both the men and women hit the courts to take on Prairie View A&M. Both men and women start the day with a match at 11 AM. Following that match, the men return at 3 PM to cap off their doubleheader. Early attendees to Thursday's match will receive their own Islanders sunglasses. Be sure to get there early!
This will be the second time this year in which the Islanders take on the Panthers. Earlier this season, the men completed the sweep over the Panthers in Prairie View with final match scores of 7-0, 6-0. The women also took home a win, completing their match with a final score of 7-0.
FRIDAY:
This Friday, the South Texas Showdown returns, as the men face off with UTRGV at 2 PM. Early attendees to Friday's match will receive their own South Texas Showdown t-shirts!
With two key matches slated over the next two days, the Islanders look to gather momentum heading into the rest of the season. While the women look to get back into the win column, the men look continue their five-match win streak and keep the train rolling as we approach conference play. Be sure to come out and support your Islanders!
