CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis impress in their first home match of the spring season. In front of 148 fans, the women battled in route to a 7-0 sweep over the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas.
"We loved this tonight," said Coach
Steve Moore. "A&M-Corpus Christi vs A&M-Kingsville. Almost 150 people here tonight, loud and rowdy. Great college tennis environment. I though it lifted both teams."
"I thought they (Islanders) did a good, good job at maxing out the things they can control," Moore continued. "I'd give us an eight, eight and a half out of ten. To win all the matches we need to win this year, it has to be a nine and a half out of ten, and we're always going to push for a ten. But, I thought they made a commitment to playing each point with intensity."
