CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Director of Tennis
Steve Moore has announced the signing of Emma Honore to a National Letter of Intent. Honore, from Royan, France, is ranked top-15 nationally in France for junior tennis. Honore joins an Islanders team whose 2018 recruiting class was ranked No. 12 nationally among mid-majors.
"Emma is a high level recruit for us," said Moore. "We are very proud that she chose Texas A&M-Corpus Christi over numerous Power Five schools. Her French ranking of -4/6 is elite and her UTR of 10.7 is very strong. She is one of the top juniors in her country and was highly recruited. Emma's attitude, character and work ethic were what we loved most about her."
Honore will join the Islanders in the fall of 2019. She chose the Islanders over numerous other programs including the University of Arizona, the University of Kansas and Mississippi State.
