SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis gets the sweep in Sunday's doubleheader against Trinity. With final scores of 6-1 and 7-0, the Islanders move to 4-1 on the season.
"I thought the guys competed very hard today," said Coach Steve Moore, "and really grew in their mental toughness. We've been challenging the guys to play every point with intensity, tough and smart. I saw strong commitment to that today. This young team has tremendous character, and is learning every day the discipline, grit and mental toughness it takes to be elite college tennis players."
"Trinity is tough," Moore continued, "especially at home. They're a class, high level program with a lot of pride. We had to really fight today, which was good for us. This team is maturing rapidly, and understanding more and more what it takes to be successful: extreme hard work, discipline and grit."
