CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's tennis remains on the road, heading to San Antonio for a match against the Trinity Tigers. The match, slated for Sunday, January 28, will be a double header. The first match starts at 11 AM, followed by the second at 4 PM.
"We're looking forward to a very competitive match," said Coach Steve Moore, "and the opportunity to max out the things we can control. We need to play each point with intensity. This is the early part of the season for a very young team, so every day matters. We have to get one percent better each day."
"I'm excited to see our young guys compete," Moore continued. "They are learning the level of discipline, focus, and mental toughness that it takes to compete at this level. Our doubles are emerging, and things are starting to click. I feel as they've committed to play the right way, their stock has grown rapidly. I'm excited for the chance to compete tomorrow at Trinity."
The Islanders picked up their first win of the spring season in Wednesday's match at Prairie View. They look to ride that momentum and continue their winning ways, in hopes of completing their second double header sweep of the season.
