PRAIRIE VIEW – Islanders tennis continued their 2018 spring season on the road, seeking their first win of the year at Prairie View A&M. The men and women both shine, each earning flawless victories. The men close their matches with final scores of 7-0, 6-0. The women close their match with a final score of 7-0.
"We competed hard today and learned a lot," said Coach Steve Moore. "We have some young guys that really grew and improved today. I like how hard this team played, and the choice they made to encourage each other with great energy. We have a lot to improve on, but a high character group that's motivated to do so."
With today's win, the men move to 1-1 after falling short in the season opener No. 8 Texas. Today's win for the women comes in their season opener, starting their season off on the right foot at 1-0.
