MOBILE, Ala. – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf produced a 25-stroke turnaround on day two of the USA Intercollegiate as the Islanders shot a 297 to climb to 10th heading into Monday's final round.

Sophomore
Autumn Bynum once again led the Islanders, firing a 1-under round of 71 Sunday. The round marked the second-lowest of Bynum's career and the 14th lowest in Islander history. On her third hole of the day, Bynum sunk her first of three birdies to move to 1-under. She added two more birdies at the 10th and 14th, while carding 13 pars and just two bogeys for the third lowest round of the day.

Bynum ended the afternoon tied for 17th on the individual leaderboard.

Dani Bergmann shaved three strokes off her opening round, carding a 2-over 74 Sunday. Bergmann parred each of her first seven holes en route to 14 pars on the day. Her lone birdie came on the 163-yard, par-3 eighth.

A pair of Islanders made massive improvements from day one to two as
Brooklyn Sutton and
Olivia Lowe each knocked double-digit strokes off their first round totals. Sutton finished 10-strokes better than her opening round while Lowe improved by 11-strokes, the top-two improvements between Saturday and Sunday in the entire tournament.

Sutton carded a 3-over 75, including a pair of birdies Sunday. Meanwhile, Lowe finished at a 5-over 77 with 14 pars in the round. The massive improvements helped the Islanders climb two spots on the leaderboard to 10th.

The Islanders sit 10th headed into Monday's final round in Mobile. Corpus Christi will look to continue its climb up the leaderboard as it sits just two shots behind Alabama State.
