CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's tennis returns to the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon as the Islanders host UTSA in a 2 p.m. first serve.

The Islanders men are 11-7 on the season after falling to 37th-ranked Rice on Sunday. The Blue and Green lineup has featured four freshman in the top six singles over the past two weeks.

Freshman
William Mottet leads the Islanders with a 10-3 record on the year. Mottet was leading all of his matches this past weekend at the Texas Tamale Company Rice Invitational when play was halted. Just behind, sophomore
Carlos Pedrosa Cuevas owns a 9-2 singles record on the season.

The Islanders and Roadrunners have already clashed once this season with Corpus Christi claiming a 6-1 win in San Antonio.

On the women's side, the Islanders have won two straight entering Wednesday's clash. Last in action on Friday, A&M-Corpus Christi bested McNeese 5-2.

Like the men, a freshman leads the Blue and Green in wins for the women as
Maria Maldonado holds a 10-2. Four other Islanders have eight or more wins each in singles action. As a team, A&M-Corpus Christi is 52-16 in singles play this season.

In the previous meeting with UTSA this season, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi notched a 4-2 victory on the road.
