MOORE THOUGHTS

On the win…
"This was a strong character bounce back win today from a strong character team. We talked a lot about how you get back up after you get knocked down. I was incredibly impressed with how these girls competed and responded today. It was a total commitment to play every point with intensity and do it the right way."

On Hortense Boscher stepping up…
"We're a team that is really a family and we're always about the family first, but sometimes an individual can lift up the team. Today that was Hortense Boscher. She came out as team captain, leader and our number one player in the lineup and played with such intensity and toughness to set the tone for us."

Looking forward…
"We played a very tough and well-coached team today on the road and really showed great heart. I love the character and fight on this team and I'm excited about the rest of this season."

RETURNING HOME

Following the win at Sam Houston State, the Islanders return to the Island to face rival McNeese State Friday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
