CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Island University celebrates homecoming Saturday as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi welcomes Lamar for the second clash between the two teams of the season.

A&M-Corpus Christi started its currenty six-game winning streak with a 69-66 overtime thriller at Lamar on January 25.
Rashawn Thomas led the Islanders with 22 points off the bench while
Jake Kocher poured in a career-high 19.

TAILGATE AND BLOCK PARTY

The student parking lot for Saturday's festivities at the American Bank Center will open at 1:30 p.m. The Tailgate and Block Party will follow the completion of the women's basketball game at approximately 4 p.m. on Resaca Street, just outside the American Bank Center.

The Tailgate will feature plenty of fun including a variety of inflatables, a petting zoo and much more. Islander alumnus Jake Ward will headline the Tailgate, performing live from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Alumni and Friends Tent is also available to alumni, Islanders Athletic Fund Members and season ticket holders. For just $5 per person, members of the aforementioned groups can enter the Alumni and Friends Tent and enjoy a barbeque tailgate.
