CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Heading into the final six games of the regular season, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's basketball team faces a trip to San Antonio to play the University of the Incarnate Word on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m.
The Islanders (9-14, 5-8) enter Wednesday's matchup in seventh place in the Southland Conference standings after a come-from-behind victory on the road at Southeastern Louisiana last week.
Kassie Jones scored a game-high 17 points, going 9-of-10 from the line. The Blue and Green set a season high with 54 rebounds and 25 made free throws.

>> In addition to its blocks mark, A&M-Corpus Christi ranks in the top-five in the Southland Conference in four other statistical categories – third in opponent scoring (60.3), second in opponent field goal percentage (.384), fifth in rebounds per game (38.5) and third in rebounding margin (4.5).
>> Over the last five games, the Islanders have recorded 8.4 steals per game.
SERIES HISTORY
>> The Islanders have dominated the series history with the Cardinals, winning all six contests.
