Women's basketball ranked fourth in Southland preseason poll

FRISCO, Texas - The Southland Conference office released the results of its 2019-20 Preseason Poll, slotting the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's basketball team into the fourth position. The poll is voted upon by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. 

The Islanders, who received 229 points and one first-place vote in the poll, rank behind first-place Abilene Christian (273 points, 14 first-place votes), Stephen F. Austin (255 points, nine first-place votes) and Sam Houston State (234 points, one first place vote).
