FRISCO, Texas – The 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced today with 1,551 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor including five from the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi golf program.
Representing the Islanders were
Lucia Ramirez,
Tristan Gabbard,
Elsa Tornvall,
Samantha Gibbs, and
Hannah Creekmore as they are distinguished with the award for their academic performances in 2025-26.
The WGCA All-American Scholar Teams recognize the outstanding academic and athletic achievements in women's college golf. Recognized as having one of the highest standards for selection to these teams in college athletics (3.50 GPA), the WGCA All-American Scholar Golf Teams continue to demonstrate the high level academic achievements of our players.
Gabbard earned her MBA with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Ramirez posted a 3.94 PGA in her kinesiology program, Tornvall hoisted a 3.89 through her finance degree, and Gibbs averaged a 3.76 in the business program. Creekmore finished her freshman season with a 3.7 GPA in her marketing degree.
As a team, the golf squad hoists a 3.82 cumulative GPA.
