HOUSTON, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team will take their unbeaten start to 2026 to the test on Thursday when they travel to face Rice Thursday at 11 a.m.
The Islanders (10-0) have yet to be bested this year, winning all 10 of their matches with nine coming in decisive sweeps. They have outscored their opponents 53-1 in dual matches.
At the top of the lineup, the Islanders have yet to drop a decision with a 27-0 record in singles play between courts one and three.
Kseniya Ramanouskaya has matched the team record, aiding every victory with a 10-0 singles record herself mainly from the No. 2 and No. 3 courts. She is also a perfect 9-0 on the year at No. 1 doubles with partner
Yana Mykytyn.
Adriana Jimenez Casado is also 10-0 in singles play, splitting her time between positions three and four. All of her wins have been in straight sets without giving up more than three games in a set at all.
Juliette Jalai and Mykytyn trail that with perfect records of 9-0 and 8-0, respectively.
This will be the second to last nonconference match on the schedule for the Islanders this season but will come right before the start of the league slate which will start Feb. 28 against SFA. The final nonconference match will be held at UTSA on March 13.
The Islanders will be going for their first ever win over the Owls, with the teams last meeting in 2023.
