CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – After a long hiatus, the Texas A&M–Corpus Christi Spirit Teams made a powerful return to the summer college camp circuit, marking their second time attending these prestigious events as the Dance Team attended the UDA College Camp at Texas State University, while the Cheer Team made its debut at the NCA College Camp hosted at Southern Methodist University in July.
Both teams earned recognition across the board. For the first time, the dance team took the floor with a Home Routine which placed them in second place within a highly talented division. They also excelled in the Game Day (2
nd) and Fight Song (3
rd) categories. Making a strong impression throughout the week, the dance team was awarded the UDA Leadership Award, voted on by all teams at the camp, earned for their technique, performance quality, and leadership on and off the floor.
The cheer team made their first-ever appearance at the NCA College Camp, where they earned a bid to the 2026 NCA College Nationals after excelling in every segment of the camp evaluations. They won the Superior Spirit Rally Award and the Superior Crowd Segment Award with powerful performances and high crowd engagement throughout the week. They also finished third in the Spirit Rally competition and were recipients of the coveted Spirit Stick for their energetic presence and crowd engagement.
Together, both spirit teams set the tone for the 2025-26 season with new experiences and national recognition.
