AUSTIN, Texas – Continuing its tradition of success, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi spirit teams completed yet another strong weekend at the Universal Cheer Association (UCA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp on the campus of the University of Texas.

Islanders Dance produced impressive results for a third consecutive season as all members receiver superior blue ribbons for their individual performances. The results also earned the Islanders a superior trophy for individual performances.

The dance team also claimed second place in the home routine and earned a Game Day Recognition Award. The Islanders capped the weekend by earning the Most Collegiate Award in Division I.

Islanders Cheer continued the Blue and Green's success with a third place finish in the game day category. For a fourth straight year, the cheer squad compiled another strong camp with blue ribbons in the fight song, timeout, game day and sideline evaluations.

Izzy the Islander earned a fifth place finish among nearly 20 mascots from around the nation. Mascots from Texas, Northwestern, Oklahoma and LSU were the only to edge out Izzy on the weekend.
