Women's Tennis Lands Stellar Signing Class

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi women's tennis team signed three star players through National Signing Day, announced by head coach Steve Moore.
 
The Islanders land the commitments of Emma Bousquet, Marie Krymlova, and Viktoriia Sedova. They will amplify an already impressive Islanders program, who are currently coming off their third consecutive regular season championship, eighth overall, and 14th total combined with tournament titles. They hold the conference records for regular season championships, tournament titles, and NCAA Tournament appearances.
 
Bousquet and Sedova will join the Islanders ahead of the upcoming spring while Krymlova will come to the Island ahead of the 2026-27 competitive season. They all come with Universal Tennis Rankings (UTR) above 8.8.
 
Bousquet will come to the Islanders from Montpellier, France. She hoists a -2.6 French ranking as well as an 8.8 UTR. Bousquet hopes to compete at the professional level after college.

As we got to know Emma, it was so clear she was the perfect fit for the Islander Tennis values of family, character, discipline! We love Emma's motivation and character, and she has tremendous talent to be a great player! Welcome Emma!" said Moore.
 
Sedova joins the Islanders from Kazan, Russian Federation. In ITF Juniors, she has reached as high as 450 and will bring a UTR of an 8.8. Sedova has plans to pursue a professional tennis career after college.
 
"We are incredibly excited to welcome Viktoriia Sedova to the Islanders Tennis family! Viktoriia is a very talented young player with 8.8 UTR and top 450 in the world. She is very highly motivated and plays tournaments almost every week. We love her motivation, work ethic, and character! She had the dream of coming to US to study and play pro tennis after college and those are the type of players we want! We believe Viktoriia is a great fit for Islanders Tennis. Welcome Viktoriia!" said Moore.
 
Krymlova is the top junior player in Czech Republic, competing out of Brno, Czech Republic. She will bring an 8.9 UTR to the Islanders women's team. Similarly, she has the goal of competing at the professional tennis level upon graduating.
 
"We are incredibly excited about Marie Krymlova joining the Islanders Tennis family! Marie is among the top juniors in Czech Republic with a strong 8.9 UTR ranking! We love Marie's attitude, positive energy, and work ethic. We believe Marie will be a great player for the Islanders and has the strong character that makes her such a great fit for the Islanders Tennis family!" said Moore.
