WACO, Texas – Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's men's tennis program arrived in Waco, TX., this past weekend with a select team to compete in the ITA Division 1 Regional Championships. The Islanders completed the tournament with nine victories under their belt, including a pair of appearances in the third-round bracket for both singles and doubles.

Nathan Schwartz defeated Francisco Vittar from Texas Tech (UTR 12.4) to reach the third round in the singles bracket.

Pascal Lorieul and
Carlos Berna Ruiz reached the third round in the doubles bracket.

Pascal Lorieul defeated Simo Eduardo from UTA (UTR 12.7) and Junior
Kyohei Yamanaka defeated Axel Antuna from Lamar (UTR 12.7).
"This was a great showing for these four young men who have worked so hard and improved so much this fall," said Head Coach
Steve Moore. "They have been great at controlling what they can control, embrace the athletic disciplined lifestyle, and show up every day ready to work! We are super excited about this upcoming season because of this team's character and unity."
This spring the Islanders will be looking to secure their 11
th NCAA Tournament appearance, 5
th NCAA Top 40 National Ranking, and 26
th Southland Conference team title. The Islanders NCAA Tournament appearances represents the second most in Southland Conference history in any sport with the same coaching staff.
