Women's tennis falls to UTSA in tough 4-3 battle

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi women's tennis team fell to UTSA, 4-3, on Friday afternoon at the Thomas J Henry Tennis Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- The Islanders fall to 5-1 on the season in the team's first setback of the year. UTSA improves to 1-1 on the year.
- Kei Kato started her day by winning at No. 3 doubles with Emma Honore, 6-2. She then got a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles over Laura Cabrera.
- Camille Townsend won at No. 2 singles in straight sets and Victoire Delattre won at No. 6 singles.

History of Success
- As a program, the Islanders have reached 11 NCAA Tournaments in program history and captured 23 Southland titles in the last 13 years. The women have won three of the past four Southland Conference regular season titles.
