Soccer beats UTSA in preseason finale

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi soccer team defeated UTSA, 1-0, on Friday night in the final exhibition match of the preseason at the Dr. Jack Dugan Soccer and Track & Field Stadium.
- With about 20 minutes remaining in the second half, Mariah Ramon capitalized on a scramble in the box and put away the game's only goal.
- The Islander defense finished 180 minutes of preseason play without allowing a goal.
- Goalkeeper Kyleigh Hall finished with her second clean sheet of the preseason, playing all 90 minutes on Friday.
- Texas A&M-Corpus Christi got backline contributions from Megan Dodd, Alana Mangan, Siri O'Donnell, Shayla Spearman, Jaedyn Johnson, Samantha Palomino and Maddie Janolo.
