CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team finally concludes its season-opening five-game homestand on Sunday evening, looking to continue its historic start against Our Lady of the Lake at the Dr. Jack Dugan Family Soccer & Track Stadium at 7 p.m.
The Islanders (2-0-2) have reached new heights through their first four matches of 2026, earning at least one point in all of them to mark the first time that they have ever accomplished that feat to begin a season. They have also extended their streak of not losing in regular or extra time to eight matches to set a new program record, and they currently sit as the only team in the Southland Conference to have not dropped a match so far this year. On the individual side, forward
Katie Porter currently sits atop the conference in goals scored, having netted one in all four matches to date.
To keep the good vibes going, A&M-Corpus Christi welcomes the Saints (2-1-0) to town for what will be the first-ever matchup between the two schools. OLLU has been a strong player at the NAIA level in recent times, posting a record of 12-5-2 and qualifying for the semifinals of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament in 2025 and getting selected fourth overall with one first-place vote in the RRAC preseason poll prior to 2026.
Sunday's match can be watched live on ESPN+ with
Steven King on the call. The live stats will also be available to follow along as they happen.
