CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Texas A&M-University Corpus Christi announced that the contract of Head Softball Coach Blake Miller will not be renewed for next season.
"In evaluating the state of our program, I believe it is time to move in a new direction," Director of Athletics
Jon Palumbo said. "I want to thank Coach Miller for his service to Texas A&M-University Corpus Christi and our student-athletes. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."
Miller compiled a record of 34-116 in his three seasons as head coach of the Islanders. That record includes a mark of 12-65 in Southland Conference play. The team has not qualified for the Southland Conference tournament since 2015.
"We will hire a coach who will be fully committed to enhancing the overall student-athlete experience and elevating the performance of our softball program," said Palumbo.
