FRISCO, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi softball team saw five student-athletes honored in the postseason for their academic achievement as the Southland Conference released its 2026 All-Academic Team Thursday.
Zoey Stewart,
Jada Zepeda,
Kendra Winfrey,
Josie Whitehead, and
Karisa Lopez were the Islanders' honorees on this year's All-Academic Team.
Whitehead led the group with a 3.89 cumulative GPA in her kinesiology degree. Stewart and Zepeda each hoist a 3.66 cumulative GPA both in the psychology program. Winfrey records a 3.40 GPA also with a psychology degree while Lopez earned a 3.37 GPA with a major in special education.
All five were above the tam's average GPA of a 3.29.
