Softball heads to Austin for midweek game at Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi softball team will travel to Austin, Texas, to face the University of Texas on Wednesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. The game will be played at Red & Charline McComb's Field and will be broadcasted live on the Longhorn Network. there will also be an audio broadcast and live stats available.

The Islanders enter Wednesday's game with a 4-20 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Southland play after picking up a win over Houston Baptist last weekend. The Longhorns were ranked No. 11 in the latest NFCA poll and No. 13 by ESPN.com/USA Softball. Texas is 21-5 on the season and 15-2 when playing at home.

This season, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is playing the nation's No. 79 toughest non-conference schedule.
