Golf finishes in third at SHSU Bearkat Invitational

- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi golf team finished third at the Sam Houston State Bearkat Women's Invitational in Magnolia, Texas, on Tuesday. 
- The Islanders shot a total of 918, finishing seven strokes behind Sam Houston State for second place. 
- Brooklyn Sutton shot the team's low round of 73. She finished in a tie for fourth individually. 
- Freshman Maria Beltran tied for 10th individually, shooting a closing round of 75. 
- Houston Baptist (884) won the team title with a 27 shot lead over Sam Houston State.
- Sam Houston State's Viera Permata Rosada won the individual title scoring a total of 217.
