Green earns All-Invitational honors in Missouri

Story Headlines
- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team fell to Ohio University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
- The Islanders fall to 1-12 on the year while the Bobcats improved to 5-8.
- Madison Green was named to the Mizzou Invitational All-Tournament team for her play. The junior had 22 assists, eight kills, four digs and a service ace on Saturday and hit .400 for the match.
- On the weekend, Green had 57 assists (6.33 aps), 20 digs (2.22 dps) and 21 kils (2.33 kps).

Islander Key Statistics
- The Bobcats won all three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.
- The Islanders' best set came in the third as the team hit .300 with 15 kills and just three attacking errors.
- Sam Dumity led the team offensively with nine kills. She hit .304 and added two digs and a block defensively.
- For Green, Saturday marked her ninth match with double-digit assists this year and her seventh with 20 or more helpers.
- Rachel Young had eight kills and hit .375 for the match. She set a career-high with five digs.
- Angel Felan added eight digs defensively and contributed a pair of assists.
- Chloe Simon had five kills with two digs and tied her career-high with two blocks.
- Liza Buzhanski had six digs in the match.
- Kaylee Payne had six digs and recorded her second career kill in as many matches.
- Jessi Herbold had a career-high three kills and added a dig.

Islander Key Sequence
- Trailing 11-9 in the second set, the Islanders went on a quick 6-1 run to take an early lead. Young and Green recorded back-to-back kills to tie the match, 11-1. After a pair of Bobcat attacking errors, Ohio got a point back on a kill from Katie Nelson. But Young put the Islanders ahead by two with a kill and Green tacked on another point to make it 15-12 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi heading into the media timeout.
