- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi volleyball team lost a pair of matches on Friday at the Mizzou Invitational at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
- The Islanders fell to 1-11 on the year after dropping decisions to host Missouri, 3-0, and Drake University, 3-0.
Match One Key Statistics (Missouri 3, Islanders 0)
- The Tigers won all three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-23 and 25-17.
- The Islanders' best set came in the second as the team hit .233 with 12 kills and five attacking errors.

Rachel Young had a team-best seven kills with two digs and two block assists.

Kylie Filipiak recorded five kills, hitting .417 for the match. She had five digs and also recorded a block.

Madison Green recorded 17 assists with five digs, five kills and a block.

Sam Dumity had vide kills, three digs and a block.

Jenna Lyons recorded five kills and had two digs.

Jenna Krenek recorded nine digs with three assists and added a service ace.

Kaylee Payne recorded a career-high two service aces and added a pair of digs defensively.
Match One Key Sequence
- Early in the third set, the Islanders took an early lead with a quick 5-1 rally. Trailing 6-4, Young and Lyons recorded back-to-back kills to make it 6-5. A Tiger attacking error made it 6-6 before Missouri retook the lead on a kill. Green came up with two-straight kills off fees from
Mackenzie Coates to give Texas A&M-Corpus Christi an 8-7 advantage.
Match Two Key Statistics (Drake 3, Islanders 0)
- The Bulldogs won the three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 25-
- Green recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 18 assists and 11 digs. It was her eighth double-digit assist match of the year and her fifth in double figures for digs.
- Dumity hit .368 and led the team with nine kills. She also added an assist, a block and had a service ace.
- Lyons recorded her first career kill in the third set, playing as the libero. She had three digs and an assist.
- Krenek had 10 digs, her seventh match this season in double figures. She also added four assists.
- Filipiak added five kills and five digs to go along with a block.

Angel Felan had seven digs and a season-high three assists.
Match Two Key Sequence
- In the second, Simon started off hot to give the Islanders an early advantage. The sophomore notched three-straight kills to start the set and after a Drake attacking error to make it 4-0 Islanders, the Bulldogs were forced into a timeout.
