- The Vaqueros took all three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 25-19.
- The Islanders were led by Madison green who had 23 assists, eight digs, seven kills and a service ace. She hit .412 for the match with no errors.

- The Islanders got off to a quick start in the second set and took an early lead. Trailing 2-1,
Sam Dumity and
Kylie Filipiak combined for a block to tie it up, 2-2. A UTRGV attacking error put the Islanders up, 3-2. After giving a point back on a kill, UTRGV committed a service error as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi took a 4-3 lead in the set.

- A&M-Corpus Christi will play in the Mizzou Invitational this weekend in Columbia, Mo. The Islanders will take on host Missouri (11 a.m.) and Drake (7 p.m.) on Friday, followed by a Saturday noon contest against Ohio University.
