Key Islander Statistics
- The Islanders won the first set, 26-24, but Duke won the second, 26-24, fighting off a set point from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. In the third, the Islanders took the lead again with a 25-19 win but the Blue Devils forced a fifth set with a 25-10 win in the fourth.Duke jumped out to a quick fifth set lead and held on to take the point, 15-9.
- The Islanders best set came in the third as the team hit .355 with 13 kills and just two attacking errors.

Rachel Young had a team-high 14 kills with one assist. The redshirt freshman hit .545 with just two attacking errors.

Key Islander Sequence
- The Islanders were able to jump out to a quick lead by taking the first set off the Blue Devils. With the match tied, 21-21, Dumity gave Texas A&M-Corpus Christi the advantage off a kill from Green. After an attacking error made it 23-21 Islanders, Duke called timeout and halted the run with a point after the break. But Simon's kill gave the Islanders set point, 24-22. A pair of errors gave the Blue Devils new life with the match tied, 24-24. Young came up with a kill and on set point, it was Green on a timely kill to give the set to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 26-24.
- Leading 18-14 in the third set, the Islanders went on a quick 4-1 run to help put distance between themselves and the Blue Devils. Simon started the run with a kill and then an attacking error by Duke made it a six-point lead, 20-14. After a timeout, the Blue Devils got a kill but then committed a service error to make it 21-15. The Islanders stretched the lead to seven after Green and Dumity combined for a block. The two teams would trade points until an Islander block ended the set, 25-19.
