Craig Shaw has announced the Islanders' 2018 schedule. The slate includes 18 regular season games and two exhibition contests. The Islanders will 10 games at the
Dr. Jack A. Dugan Family Soccer and Track Stadium this fall.
The Blue and Green will play a pair of preseason exhibition matches on the road starting on Aug. 10 at the University of Texas followed by an Aug. 12 contest at the University of Texas San Antonio. The regular season begins on the road at Colorado College on Aug. 24. After that, the Islanders return for a four-game homestand starting with Rice (Aug. 26), Texas State (Aug. 31), UT Rio Grande Valley (Sept. 2) and Prairie View A&M (Sept. 7).
After a road match at UTRGV on Sept. 9, the Islanders host Incarnate Word for the first Southland Conference contest of the year on Sept. 14. The last non-conference match of the year will be on Sept. 16 at Texas Southern.
The Southland Conference home schedule includes Sam Houston State (Sept. 21), Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 23), Central Arkansas (Oct. 12), Northwestern State (Oct. 14) and Houston Baptist (Oct. 26). The road slate features matches at Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 28), Nicholls State (Sept. 30), Abilene Christian (Oct. 5), McNeese State (Oct. 19) and Lamar University (Oct. 21).
