BEAUMONT, Texas - The Texas A&M Corpus Christi golf team split a pair of match play contests on Monday at the Cardinal Challenge in Beaumont, Texas. The event was hosted by Lamar University and was held at the Beaumont Country Club. The Islanders fell to Lamar University, 3-2, but rebounded to capture a 4-1 victory over Stephen F. Austin.
Olivia Lowe and
Julia Dereniwsky each won both of their matches. Against Stephen F. Austin,
Autumn Bynum and
Dani Bergmann pitched in victories to help lead the Blue and Green.
The Islanders will now head to the Southland Conference Tournament in Montgomery, Texas, starting on Tuesday, April 17.
