Midweek Show In Sugar Land

Islanders to compete in first leg of home-and-home with Houston Baptist

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Texas A&M-Corpus Christi preps to compete in leg one of this year's home-and-home series with Houston Baptist in Sugar Land, Texas this Tuesday. 

The Islanders are 11-4 against the Huskies all-time, winning five of their last six against HBU. Corpus Christi enters their midweek contest following a series finale win at Southeastern Louisiana. The Blue and Green knocked off the Lions 13-7 for their third win in Southland play, pushing the team's record back to over .500 (17-16).

>> The Islanders are slated to faceoff with right hander Hunter McClennan on Tuesday. The junior won his previous start, against UTRGV, giving up a single earned run over a five-inning start

COMING UP NEXT
After their matchup with the Huskies, the Islanders return home for a three-game series against Lamar at Chapman Field, looking to improve on their 9-9 record at home.
