CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team had one of its own join the professional ranks on Wednesday, as pitcher
Nathan Mueller signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Mueller, a native of Fort Worth, joined the Islanders prior to the 2026 campaign after spending two seasons at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In his lone season in the blue and green, he appeared in 20 games and made five starts, posting a record of 1-1 while striking out 29 batters in 29.1 innings of work.

Scott Malone said. "Nate's work ethic is unmatched, and there is no doubt his best days are in front of him. Islanders Baseball takes pride in the role we played in helping move Nate closer to his goal of pitching in the big leagues."
Over the summer, Mueller pitched in the West Coast League for the Victoria Harbourcats, where he posted a 4.66 ERA in five games while punching out 14 hitters against just three walks in 9.2 innings.
In signing on with the Brewers, Mueller becomes the first Islander to join an MLB organization since pitcher Matthew Watson, who was drafted by the Padres in the 13
th round of the 2024 Amateur Draft.
