Willis Wilson has announced the signing of Irshaad Hunte for the 2018-19 season. Hunte, a 6-8 forward, played last season at Central Wyoming College.
"Irshaad can provide our team with a lot of what we need," said Wilson. "He has a high motor and is very passionate about the game. I believe his ability to score and rebound consistently will allow the guys around him to perform even better. He is a great addition to our program."
Hunte averaged 15.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for the Rustlers last season. He was rated No. 95 in the Top 100 Junior College Player rankings by
JucoRecruiting.com. As a sophomore, Hunte was named first team all-region and set the school record for rebounding. He also finished third in the career ranks for scoring and free throws made at Central Wyoming. A former standout at Sattleback Valley Christian High School, the Ontario, Canada, native also played for AAU program Double Pump. Hunte has six sisters and four brothers.
